Child Safety Standard Policy

1. Introduction

TrustedAt is committed to maintaining a safe community for every user. It is our duty to protect minors from exploitation, abuse, and any form of child endangerment. This policy explicitly prohibits any behaviour or content that could facilitate the exploitation or abuse of children in any way. Our commitment extends not only to our users' welfare but also to compliance with all applicable child safety laws or regulations.

2. Scope and Definitions

  • Scope:

This policy applies to all users, content, interactive features, and services provided through the TrustedAt app and Web portal. It covers any actions that could, in any form, contribute to the exploitation or abuse of children.

Definitions:

  • Child: Any individual under the legal age as defined by applicable law.
  • Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE): This includes content or behaviour that involves child abuse, exploitation, grooming, or any other form that could harm a child.
  • CSAM: Child Sexual Abuse Material, which constitutes any media, imagery, or content that depicts or suggests sexual abuse or exploitation of children.

Minimum Age. TrustedAt requires every user to meet the minimum age for their country or region. This is at least 16 in most regions and higher where required by local law or by our policies (for example, 18 in Uganda). We verify age at sign-up from the date of birth and country each user provides, and we do not knowingly permit accounts for anyone below the applicable minimum age. Where a region allows younger users only with verifiable parental or guardian consent, we apply the additional protections that region requires. This aligns with the age requirements in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

3. Prohibited Conduct and Content

TrustedAt strictly prohibits any behaviour, interaction, or distribution of content that could facilitate the endangerment of children. This includes, but is not limited to:

Facilitation of Abuse or Exploitation:

Uploading, creating, or distributing content that sexualizes or exploits minors.

Engaging in or facilitating child grooming behaviours, such as befriending minors with the intent to initiate explicit or exploitative contact.

Sexualization of Minors:

Content that depicts, encourages, or promotes the sexual abuse of children or portrays children in a manner that may lead to exploitation.

Predatory Behaviour:

Any attempts at initiating inappropriate interactions with minors (e.g., groping, caressing, or other instructions suggestive of physical abuse).

Sextortion and Trafficking:

Threatening, blackmailing, or inciting minors by leveraging access to their intimate images or information.

Any content that advertises or solicits a child for any form of commercial or sexual exploitation.

TrustedAt will take immediate action upon identifying any such content, including its prompt removal and the notification of relevant regulatory or law enforcement agencies when required.

4. In-App Reporting and Feedback Mechanism

To empower our community and ensure swift action against potential violations, TrustedAt provides an in-app feedback and reporting mechanism:

User-Report Feature:

Users are encouraged to report any content or behaviour that violates this policy through our dedicated in-app reporting tool. This mechanism is designed to capture concerns related to potential CSAE, CSAM, or other forms of child endangerment. This reporting feature is accessible on all posts, comments or replies. Just click the report flag

Feedback Handling:

Every report is reviewed promptly by our enforcement team. We maintain clear protocols to evaluate, monitor, and remediate any breaches.

5. Addressing Confirmed Cases of CSAM

TrustedAt commits to the following actions upon obtaining actual knowledge of CSAM:

Immediate Removal:

Content identified as CSAM will be immediately removed from the platform in accordance with our enforcement procedures.

Law Enforcement Reporting:

We are committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding child safety. This includes reporting confirmed cases of CSAM to the appropriate national or regional authorities as well as cooperating fully with law enforcement investigations.

6. Compliance with Child Safety Laws
